In case you missed the news or the heart wrenchingly adorable Instagram posts over the weekend, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are officially engaged.
The typically quiet couple shared the joyous announcement over the weekend via matching Instagram posts and friends and family are now sharing their good wishes. A source confirmed to People that, “Everybody’s very, very happy for them and their family and friends are all thrilled. Everyone loves them together.”
According to People, the source also revealed that this relationship wasn’t like Joe’s previous ones saying, “he was such a dater before her but their relationship was much different from the start. She was just the one for him. She’s young but is beyond her years and is crazy, crazy mature. He’s never been like this with a girl.”
Naturally, Joe’s brothers Nick and Kevin were among the first to share their congratulations. The two left comments on Instagram with Nick writing “YES!!!” and Kevin agreeing with a “Yeah!!!!!!!” Nick further shared his excitement on Twitter posting, “Ahh! Congratulations to my brother… and sister in law to be on your engagement,” he said. “I love you both so much.”
Joe's ex Demi Lovato also chimed in about the engagement news. She commented on Joe's Instagram post, "HUGE CONGRATS!!!!! Sooooo happy for the both of you!!!!" The two dated only for a short amount of time years ago, but still maintain a friendship.
Sophie and Joe have been together since last November, and their laugh out loud antics with the paparazzi, matching denim jackets, and even the recent adoption of an adorable puppy have made them the epitome of relationship goals. We’re wishing the couple well and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
