James Runcie, who headed the Education Department’s federal student aid program during the Obama administration, resigned on Tuesday. His resignation memo revealed that the Trump administration may move the country's student debt from the Education Department, which is run by Betsy DeVos, to the Treasury Department, which is currently run by Steven Mnuchin. Jared Kushner, President Trump's advisor and son-in-law, has a big role to play in the White House, and is now reportedly a focus in the FBI investigation about Russia's ties to the election. The Washington Post published a report Wednesday that said, according to sources, that Kushner was allegedly "being investigated because of the extent and nature of his interactions with the Russians." Greg Gianforte, who allegedly body slammed a reporter, was elected to Montana's U.S. House of Representatives seat. Just after witnesses say they saw Gianforte grab the Guardian's Ben Jacobs and slam him to the ground, the Republican multi-millionaire was elected to Congress Thursday's special election. A man riding a bike was hit by a truck, then deported. Marcos Antonio Huete, 31, from Honduras, is being deported after police began questioning his immigration status while he was lying on the ground as a result of being hit by a truck while riding his bike. Video shows police questioning his status, saying "You illegal? Are you a legal citizen or no? Speak English? You got ID? Passport, visa, or what?” Huete was treated at the hospital for bruises on his thighs and legs, and now he's facing deportation. Read more from BuzzFeed.

A student who says he put a bomb on the London tube as a prank has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. Damon Smith reportedly left a home-made bomb on London's transportation last year, but the device was removed from the train and never detonated. Smith, who is autistic, said he meant for it to spew smoke as a prank. While the judge did not believe Smith had terrorist intentions, he was sentenced to 15 years in a youth offenders facility.
