How accurate are those online quizzes that claim to sort you into a Hogwarts House really? After all, even Pottermore is a Muggle invention, so how can it truly know if you're more Slytherin or Ravenclaw? Not to mention a website is kind of anti-climactic after years of watching sentient headgear yell "GRYFINDOOOOR" across the Great Hall. Well, for all you unfairly sorted Hufflepuffs, there's now a certifiably magical way to know, once and for all, which House you're in IRL. No, it's not the Sorting Hat, but it is the next best thing. And it smells better, too.

Enter the Sorting Candle. All you have to do is light it up, and as it burns, the white wax will melt to reveal either red (for Gryffindor), blue (for Ravenclaw), yellow (for Hufflepuff), or green (for Slytherin).

You can get it for 14 Galleons on Etsy, where it's sold by the enterprising Potterhead or Potterheads behind Muggle Library Candles. According to the listing, the Sorting Candle is vegan-friendly and made of soy, and even the makers don't know which color will be revealed. Although the front of the candle says it smells like "excitement, fear, and nervousness," there's no need to worry. Your room won't be saturated with the scent of sweaty pits or mom's spaghetti. Muggle Library Candles has taken creative liberties and made the anticipation of knowing your House smells like "a delicious lemony scent mixed with a musky combination of sandalwood, creamy vanilla, and patchouli."

So far, the candle only has two reviews but both have been awestruck by its accuracy: A Hufflepuff and a Ravenclaw were both sorted into the Houses they always knew they belonged in.

Unfortunately, if you hoped to be sorted by candle by the end of five to seven business days, you're going to have to wait a lot longer than that. Due to popular demand, Muggle Library Candles is only taking pre-orders for February. Each candle is poured by hand, so it makes sense that they would take some time to deliver one that sorts you well. In the meantime, you'll just have to put your trust in Pottermore, or perhaps Teen Vogue's own sorting quiz.
