Mark your physical calendars and set your digital reminders because we finally know when the first offering from the upcoming Telfar and UGG partnership is dropping!
As announced via Telfar’s official Instagram account on November 24, a presale for the collab’s special edition shopping bags will take place on Monday, November 30, at 9 AM EST sharp for 24 hours only.
Judging by the promotional pics, the bags, which likely won't be the only product launching as part of the collab, feature the classic silhouette that has made the Bushwick Birkin iconic with an UGG twist. The bags, available in small and medium sizes, come in the trademark chestnut color of UGGs and features white shearling trimming all around the edges and the Telfar logo. It’s worth noting that while Telfar bags are normally vegan, UGG boots are made of soft sheepskin so this collab might be an exception for the New York brand.
If you want to secure one for yourself, head to SHOP.TELFAR.NET and get ready to shop. Bags are expected to ship between March and Juneteeth 2021 but your pre-order will also include a TelfarChristmas card that will arrive before Christmas eve (in case you want to spread the Telfar spirit this holiday season). “We know that is a long time to wait — but these bags are insanely adorable and will sell out in minutes,” the brand wrote in its post. “PRE-ORDER now and your bag is SECURED.”

From Pat McGrath and Supreme to Demon Slayer and UNIQLO, it has been a year of epic collaborations but the newly-announced Telfar and UGG partnership probably takes the cake.
Although the collaboration isn't officially launching until 2021, Telfar's Instagram page broke the news on September 16 with a slew of teasers featuring founder and designer Telfar Clemens. Clemens was recently named the accessories designer of the year at the CFDA Fashion Awards thanks to the revolutionary success of his shopping bags, aptly dubbed the "Bushwick Birkin" (worn by celebrities like AOC and Bella Hadid). His designs are all unisex and champion inclusivity.
UGG is showcasing Telfar Clemens via the "FEEL YOU" series, a celebration of unapologetic individuality and style showcasing artists, creatives, and activists from all over the globe. The partnership is a merging of two classic icons. The UGG mini boot, which Telfar wears in his video, is iconic and gender-fluid just like the Telfar bags. News of Telfar's new collab comes just a couple of months after the cancelation of the GAP x Telfar partnership, which was announced back in January.
“I find UGG really sexy—a soft kind of rugged,” Clemens said in a press email about the upcoming collaboration. “I have made unofficial, unauthorized UGG boots in two shows already dating back to 2010. So, I’ve always been obsessed [with] a certain kind of ubiquity and when something really unique ends up on everybody. What I want to do is get down to the DNA of UGG and see what genes we have in common. To get down to the core of that feeling.”
“Telfar is exceptional; a true pioneer and visionary and one of the first designers to believe that being unapologetically yourself is sexy,” Andrea O’Donnell, president of fashion lifestyle at Deckers Brands added. “At UGG, we believe in the same thing, and that fashion can be real, democratic, and aspirational all at the same time. This collection will be the perfect expression of our shared beliefs.”
In the past, UGG has collaborated with emerging designers like Eckhaus Latta and Y/Project so we're excited to see what the future holds for Telfar x UGG!
