We're slowly getting more and more details about 13 Reasons Why's second season. We'll "see others' perspectives on Hannah's story", Netflix has promised, but we won't see Selena Gomez on the show. And now, thanks to an interview with Selena on Seattle's Movin' 92.5, we have a few more hints, Elle reports.
"I'm so excited for season 2," she said. "I think it's going to be so exciting because you know, I didn't expect the first to be as loud, if you will? I didn't expect it to have the reaction that it did. It was amazing, and it was complicated, and there was a lot of stuff that came with it, and I understood what that meant."
She's likely referring to the controversy the show stirred up for its graphic portrayal of suicide, which mental health experts have said could be triggering to those at risk.
"I think for season 2, we elaborate more on some of those questions and the stories and the resolution, if you will, of what some of these kids have gone through so—and are going through," Selena explained. "I was in the writers' room the other day, and they're working so hard, and it's going to come together. I was sitting there at the table, like, 'Wait, what happened?!' Almost like freaking out."
This doesn't provide too many clues—other than confirming Netflix's hints about the new season's focus on Hannah's classmates—but it does pique our curiosity even more.
