Just a few short weeks ago, makeup legend Pat McGrath sent shockwaves across the beauty universe when she launched her first-ever namesake product — a multi-use shimmery gold pigment called Gold 001. Pat teased the glimmering substance on Instagram with conceptual videos of sparkling metallic magic and images of her fave celeb friends like Bella Hadid and Hailey Baldwin adorned in the luxe concoction. The product, which launched on October 29th, was only available in limited quantity, and obviously sold out instantly.
We were lucky enough to get our hands on one, and have since been living the gilded life. But, if you weren’t able to score Gold 001, good news. Pat just revealed on Instagram that the second makeup innovation hailing from Pat McGrath Labs is coming soon. Like, very soon. As in, on December 15th. We don’t have much info on the new launch, but here’s what we do know. The product is going to be holographic and insanely cool based on the three videos she just posted. The bubbling substance resembles the rainbow created by an oil spill, or the multi-hued mix of colors that make up a beetle shell (and appears to be similar to the butterfly wing-effect shadow Pat created for the DVF Spring 2016 show). She also gave us the name: Phantom 002, the perfect follow up to Gold 001.

Word is still out on whether or not this is another use-it-all-over product, or if this one will be targeted to a certain part of the face. We’ll be refreshing Instagram until we have more details, but this is going to the top of our holiday wish lists. Thank you, Pat!
