On Riverdale, Lili Reinhart rocks minimalist hair and makeup when she slips into her role as Betty Cooper (think lip balm, one or two swipes of mascara, and slightly tousled beach waves). But IRL, the actress has a lot more opportunities to freely experiment with her beauty style (taken to an extreme with her Halloween-worthy SFX makeup looks). Last night, she tried something that reminded us of a certain on-screen dream sequence when she debuted an off-screen throwback beauty moment that had us riveted.
Celebrity hairstylist Kristin Ess was the one who revealed the look, Instagramming a close-up of Lili over the weekend. "This face 💕👑🔥 Vintage vibes today on #LiliReinhart. Makeup by @adambreuchaud, Hair by 🙋. #riverdale," she captioned the post. Instead of her usual tousled texture, Lili rocked smooth, brushed-out waves, a deep side part, and a face-framing curl. Kristin topped the whole thing off with a black-and-white, polka-dotted headscarf, putting a fun twist on her polished strands.
Meanwhile, celeb MUA Adam Breuchaud painted Lili's lids in shades of pink and brown, giving her an earth-toned smoky eye. He finished off the look with vibrant berry lipstick, tons of mascara, and brushed-out brows — one of them slightly arched, as usual. Kristin's #riverdale hashtag has us wondering just how this look is related to the show — perhaps Lili's out-of-character beauty moment shows up in another dream? Or maybe Betty's getting a makeover...
Whatever the case, these vintage vibes are definitely working for her.
