Disney star Dove Cameron recently had the warmest welcome while in Tokyo, Japan. A big part of that thanks to her Japanese fanbase who have shown their devotion in a number of ways.

On her Instagram, Dove posted on Instagram a slideshow of photos and videos taken of her arrival at the airport, where she was greeted by fans holding signs and cheering for her. “[U]nbelievably warm welcome for my first time here. thank you for all the love & sweetest gifts. [J]apan, i love you already,” she wrote alongside the photo and video set. Some were even dressed up as her Descendants character, Mal.

Dove also took time to show all of her Twitter followers just how thoughtful her fans were. In one particularly heartwarming Twitter photo, Dove took a photo of a fan letter, captioning it with “I love you all so much. crying in my hotel room.”

The letter, written by a fan named Nanako, gets especially emotional when at one point she details how watching Dove in her Disney show Liv & Maddie helped her get through a difficult hospital stay. “I was in hospital last year. I had to go through a hard time with an operation and several medical treatments, but I could get over it as I watch my favorite TV drama, Liv & Maddie, or Descendants, which gave me the power to do that. I’m fine now,” she wrote.

But the love didn’t stop at Nanako’s super sweet letter. In fact, Dove made sure to show all of her followers on Twitter a few other gifts that her fans sent along. Ranging from Starbucks gift cards to actual Dove shampoo, Dove captioned the photos with these very thoughtful gifts with a message that showed her gratitude for her Japanese fans. Honestly, you’ll tear up, too, seeing how considerate these gifts are. The tissues? The Japanese flag that reads “We are Japanese Dovelies. We hope you enjoy your stay and make wonderful memories. We love you so much”? Yeah, we’re not crying; you’re crying.
