Months ago, it was announced that Kristen Stewart would play a melodramatic actress (how very meta!) playing Gabrielle Chanel (who herself could be a melodramatic actress at times). Karl Lagerfeld was the genius behind this casting move, choosing his occasional muse for the starring role in a short film depicting a behind-the-scenes look from the set of a fictional biopic about the legendary Coco. 2015 is apparently the year that a former Twilight star becomes a certifiable muse to one of the most powerful luxury fashion houses in existence. What a time to be alive, etc.
The 11-minute movie premiered today at Cinecittà, Rome before the presentation of the Paris-Rome 2015/16 Métiers d'Art collection, but if you weren't there to see it all go down IRL — us, neither — you can now enjoy it from the comfort of wherever you're sitting that's decidedly not the front row of Chanel show.
It's worth watching for many reasons, including — in no certain order — Kristen's: a) temper tantrums, b) inability to carry a tune, and c) Cara Delevingne-inspired bold brows.
