Demi Lovato just posted an Instagram tribute to her late dog, and TBH it's heartbreaking.

Back in 2014, Demi Lovato got a Maltipoo named Buddy with her then-boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama. However, in July 2015, the dog passed away suddenly. "Buddy was loved by so many people and as small as he was, he made a huge impact in our lives," she wrote at the time. A year later, in 2016, she posted in commemoration of the anniversary of his death noting that she wished he could have met his "big brother," her new dog, Batman.

Now, in honor of the two year anniversary of Buddy's passing, Demi posted yet another tribute to his life and how much he meant to her on Twitter. "2 years today. I miss my baby so much.. see you in heaven little angel. I love you forever Buddy," she wrote in the caption of a collection of photos of them.

Fans were immediately supportive, saying things like: "You make a lot of people smile daily, always remember that if feeling crappy! I love you so much," or "Buddy will be forever in our hearts. He was part of the family too."

Of course, losing a pet is a devastating thing, and it's painful no matter who you are. We're glad to see that Demi hasn't let the memory of Buddy fade, and that she has a lot of people willing to support her when she really needs it most.
