There are very few events each summer that we always look forward to. Aside from our Fourth of July barbeques, the Revolve party in the Hamptons is an event we mark our calendars for each season. Packed to the brim with the coolest women in the industry, you can feel some serious girl power vibes the minute you step foot into the brand's beautiful Bridgehampton home. This year, we had the opportunity to speak with supermodel Chanel Iman. Known for breaking down barriers in the industry, Chanel isn’t afraid to speak her mind when it comes to diversity and inclusion in fashion. And did we mention she’s graced the cover of Teen Vogue not once but twice? Read ahead for her thoughts on representation in the industry and what she hopes to see more of on the runways at New York Fashion Week.

Teen Vogue: Let's talk fashion! What's your favorite fall 2017 trend?

Chanel Iman: I don’t know what I’m going to be wearing this fall, something warm. I’ll be wearing a lot of New Era hats; I just did a deal with them. The campaign comes out maybe in September, but I’ll definitely be wearing a lot of their winter hats.

TV: Which trend are you totally over?

CI: I’ve never been a wedges girl.

TV: NYFW is around the corner. What are your thoughts on diversity on the runways?

CI: I think that it’s important to have diversity on the runways, and see different faces and fashion. I think that when I first started it was a struggle, but now, it’s definitely opened up opportunities for people, not just for me, but in general. In the years that have passed it’s gotten better in fashion, but, of course, it’s never enough to have more of it. I support the shows that are open and have a lot of diversity on the runway.

TV: What would you like to see more of in terms of representation?

CI: Color, different shapes and sizes. Now we have Ashley Graham and she is incredible, she has a great personality, she sells product well. There should just be a mix of different women selling different brands.

TV: What’s your favorite Revolve purchase ever?

CI: I love everything at Revolve; it’s clothes that I wear everyday in summer. I love the shorts and the crop tops. They have really good crop tops for hot summer days, like today in the Hamptons.

TV: What do you love most about the #RevolveintheHamptons experience?

CI: They have the best parties; we have Travis Scott here and he’s performing. He’s one of my favorite rappers right now. I was super excited to come and just hang out and have a good time, make a lot of memories with a lot of girlfriends, and just enjoy good food and drinks. It’s always the best at Revolve and it’s so chill. It’s very stress-free.
