"American Horror Story: Cult" Releases Bee-Themed Promo Images

Hive mind is real.

It may not premiere until September 5th, but we’re starting to get all the details about the much-anticipated seventh season of American Horror Story, including its name, Cult, and the fact that Evan Peters will be featured more heavily this season. (Yay!) Oh, and there will be clowns.

Now, AHS: Cult has an official poster, and we are more than slightly terrified. If you’re afraid of bees, you might want to shut down your browser immediately. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

The official AHS Twitter account posted the pic on July 27, with the cryptic message, “Be of like mind.” And TBH, I’m gonna take a HARD PASS on this one, thanks.

Why? I will tell you why: The photo shows a model whose head has been partially removed, revealing both a honeycomb for a brain and a little colony of bees dripping their goo. It’s unsettling, to say the least.

We know that this upcoming season is about cults, so the whole “hive” thing makes sense. (A hive mind is a terrible thing to waste, after all.) What we don’t know is how AHS will tie bees, cults, the presidential election, and the iconic Freak Show character Twisty the Clown all together, but the last six seasons are proof that theAHS team will make it work … and terrify us all in the process. I’m already losing sleep.
