On Wednesday (July 26) at around 9:30 p.m., Justin Bieber reportedly hit a paparazzi photographer while driving a pickup truck. According to TMZ, the incident occurred in Beverly Hills, and was confirmed by the local police department. The accident reportedly happened outside the Saban Theater after an evening church service, while Justin was backing his truck out of a parking space.

A video of the incident was captured by TMZ, and additional clips soon circulated on social media, showing Justin getting out of the vehicle and bending down to make sure that the paparazzo was okay. Officials told the outlet that the singer was cooperative with police and did not receive a citation for the accident. According to Beverly Hills police Lt. Scott Dowling, the collision occurred at an "extremely slow speed," and although the photographer was taken to the hospital for minor injuries, he's expected to make a full recovery.

The accident comes just a few days after Justin canceled his Purpose world tour, allegedly due to a need for relaxation. He recently apologized to disappointed fans in a video, telling them: "I love you guys, I think you guys are awesome. Sorry for anybody who feels disappointed or betrayed."

UPDATE 7/27/17, 3:15 p.m.: Maurice Lamont, the photographer who was accidentally hit by Justin Bieber driving a pick-up truck, posted a video to his Instagram, saying he's hanging in there and that Justin is "a good kid."

"I think the truck was a little bit too big for him though ’cause there’s no way he could see over the front," he said. “But like I said, he got out, he was compassionate, he’s a good kid, accidents happen. Hopefully everything works out here. Getting ready to go into the X-rays right now.”
