Tuesday nights have sure become lonely without Pretty Little Liars, but some fans think Lucy Hale might be headed to another popular TV series: Riverdale.
The speculation began on Instagram, as most rumors tend to do these days. It all started when Madelaine Petsch (aka Cheryl Blossom) took to the 'gram to share a cute photo of the Riverdale cheerleaders in an adorable pose. "Put your leg up on my hip, when you dip I dip we dip," she cleverly wrote in her caption.
But it wasn't the photo that caught the eye of fans — rather, it was the comments below. Lucy's name popped up alongside the photo, where she told Madelaine that she wished she were with them. In response, the Riverdale star wrote: "We shall recreate when you're here."
Some fans were quick to make the leap that "here" meant "on set," and the comments soon exploded with the question of whether or not Lucy would be coming to Riverdale Season 2. Of course, it's pretty likely that the two actresses are friends, in which case "here" might just refer to an upcoming visit that they have planned. While it would undoubtedly be exciting if Lucy joined the Riverdale cast, it's probably a good idea not to get our hopes up too much. Now, if we see Lucy 'gramming a burger and milkshake, that's another story ... but until then, it's safe to assume that Madelaine's comment was just about a friendly hangout.
