If there's anybody you'd want to get advice from, it would be Selena Gomez. This is especially true if you're a burgeoning actress from the same platform where Sel got her start. That's precisely why Dove Cameron sat down with Selena Gomez at the beginning of her career, as per the request of a Disney network executive. In an interview with People, she revealed what Selena told her, as they sat on her kitchen floor and ate cereal together (#Goals. Just... so many goals).
“We were going to meet for coffee, but she was just like, just come over. So I went over to her house and for a couple of hours and we ended up just barefoot on the floor of her kitchen,” Dove began. "It was a while ago... but she was like, the most important thing is that you never deviate from your authenticity. You’re just open, you’re bare with your fans," she continued to say. "I have fully taken that in stride and I think that's a really universal thing that really holds up and I would give that advice to anyone."
She went on to say that Selena is "the most amazing human," and that she's "an angel."
In the same interview, Dove also discussed what we can expect to see in the final episodes of Liv and Maddie. In short, lots of drama. "These final five episodes are actually really dramatic," she began. "Our show has always been one that focuses on the comedy, and we have virtually no drama, but these final episodes are insanely emotional." But not to worry because Dove also said that they are "beautiful," and that every question is answered by the end.
Oh, and she'd definitely return if there were a TV movie made.
