Yesterday at a White House news briefing, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders read a letter from a young boy to President Donald Trump, and it reminded some people of Rugrats, that classic Nickelodeon cartoon. Did the letter quote a classic Angelica clapback? Mention the golden era of slightly surrealist children's programming? No and no. Instead, Sanders explained that the boy who penned the note is named Dylan Pickle. You know, like Dil Pickles, Tommy Pickles' little bro?

“My name is Dylan but everybody calls me Pickle," Sanders read aloud to the press in a rather odd deviation, per CNN. "I’m 9 years old and you are my favorite president. I like you so much I had a birthday about you. My cake was the snap of your hat. How old are you? How big is the White House? How much money do you have? I don't know why people don't like you. You seem nice, can we be friends?" Kudos to Pickle, whoever and wherever he is, asking those tough questions.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, a handful of Twitter users heard "Dylan Pickle" and immediately thought of the cute Rugrats character and immediately questioned the authenticity of such a correspondence. "Dylan Pickle"?!?! Dil Pickles: couldn't they find a name for a little kid that wasn't copied from Rugrats?" one Twitter user wrote. "The real Dylan Pickles WOULD NEVER," another added.

Meanwhile, other Twitter users just thought it was odd that Sanders would waste a portion of a press briefing with a silly way to affirm the president's popularity. (To be clear: The President is not very popular.)
