You know that moment when you drop an iPhone, the screen cracks, and you vow you’ll never buy an Apple product again? Same. In a play to keep its customers from switching to Android, the company is upping its trade-in game. Previously, Apple allowed you to exchange an old iPhone for a gift card toward a new one as part of the Apple Store Reuse and Recycle program, according to 9to5Mac. But the old system had a catch – you couldn’t trade in a phone with a cracked screen, or broken home button, or camera.

As of this week, cracked phones are game. Unless an elephant stepped on it or you threw it across a parking lot (read: unless it’s in really bad shape) they’ll take it back. The Apple Geniuses will give you $50 for an iPhone 5S, $200 for a 6, and $250 for a 6 Plus. While they won’t match the face value of the phone, the credit program is still better than buying a new phone at the retail price. Plus, the Apple Store will even sweeten the deal by installing a screen protector on your new iPhones, according to The Verge. If Apple’s trying to change one thing in 2016, it’s the number of people walking around with cracked iPhone screens.
