Out of all the former Pretty Little Liars stars, Shay Mitchell topped our list for “least likely to debut new ink anytime soon.” While the actress does have the same initials tat as the rest of her costars, she reportedly didn’t want to get it — on account of the pain factor. Looks like Shay got over that hurdle for good, since she debuted some more fresh ink over the weekend. And considering that the dainty tat runs along the side of her wrist (and any tattoos on top of bone are going to hurt more), we’d say her days of deliberating over body art are far behind her.
Shay visited celeb tattoo artist JonBoy to bring her dainty design to life — and he was the one who officially revealed the ink on Instagram. “(vibes) @shaymitchell #jonboytattoo,” he captioned the photo. “Vibes” seems to refer more to the multicolored filter on the post than the mysterious tat itself, which features tiny Roman numerals I, IV, III (1, 4, 3).
Neither Shay nor JonBoy revealed the significance behind the numbers (a PLL reference? A secret code?). Googling “Shay Mitchell 143” didn’t turn up any clues, either — nor have the commenters come forward with any theories. But, one thing is clear: Judging by the pic, Shay loves her latest design.
