While I've been listening to Demi Lovato's sizzling "Cool for the Summer" since it was released in 2015, I was stoked when the songstress dropped yet another summer anthem just a few weeks ago: "Sorry Not Sorry." However, Thursday afternoon I stumbled upon a discovery that has totally blown my mind — and it has to do with Demi's appearance on Glee.

Now, true Demitra fans will remember that she appeared in the show's fifth season as Dani, who worked at the same restaurant as Santana, Kurt, and Rachel. Dani and Santana eventually started dating before the latter ironed things out with off-again-on-again-girlfriend Brittany. But that cameo appearance is important, because it led to a theory that other people on the internet have noticed over the past couple of weeks.

You see, Naya Rivera, who played Santana on the hit series, wrote a book back in 2016. Its title? Sorry Not Sorry. So essentially, these two performers, who one dated on Glee, have both gone on to future projects with the same name. Pretty nifty connection.

As for whether this is intentional or not, we're leaning toward it just being a coincidence. "Sorry, not sorry" is a fairly common phrase nowadays reserved for making sick burns or doing something dramatic and then actively refusing not to apologize. But with that being said, we're still wondering if there was a bit of a secret message with Demi's latest hit. People did speculate that her song "Cool for the Summer" was about a fling with another woman. Perhaps it all connects back to her character's relationship with Santana on Glee?

Hidden meaning or not, we're still totally shook about this connection. Are we onto something, Naya and Demi?
